Dick is the founder and President of AgSTARS, and was the original developer of the AgSTARS LIMS System. He has been developing custom database applications for over 30 years. He received a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, and was awarded the Certified Computer Professional designation by the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals (I.C.C.P). He has worked in the computer field for over 40 years, since starting as a programmer at his Alma Mater. Dick has years of experience with a wide variety of LIMS systems and many different Agricultural Testing Labs, and has a unique ability to understand client needs and translate those needs into software solutions.
John has more than 20 years of practical experience in applications and database development. He has designed and implemented software for standalone test rigs and enterprise systems. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a B.S in Electrical Engineering, he implemented several database tracking systems to automate various reporting and management tasks while on Active Duty. Later he was a Technology Manager with Accenture, Director of Internet Self-Service at a major Insurance company, and Director of Medical Device Compliance and VP of Manufacturing with a Class III Medical Device designer and manufacturer, which company he joined as a startup. John has extensive experience in project leadership and software/product development life cycle management, requirements definition and design, testing and implementation. He has developed systems for use in various quality and regulatory systems including cGMP, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR Part 11 and has a detailed understanding of the particular requirements of applications in regulated environments.
Matt joined the Schroth Systems team in November 2019. He specializes in .NET and SQL Server applications and has developed apps and Windows programs for various companies over the past 6 years. Matt has also done work with ASP.NET web applications, smartphone apps (iOS, Windows Phone, and Android), Windows Communication Foundation, and MS Access. He just plain loves programming and loves working with companies to build and enhance their systems.
Langston Cooper is a dedicated Computer Engineering student at Clemson University, with an expected graduation in Fall 2024. He has a strong specialization in Visual Basic and C programming languages, reflecting a deep-seated passion for software development. Langston recently joined AgSTARS in 2024, eager to contribute his technical skills and collaborative mindset to the team. He genuinely enjoys working with people and companies, cultivating relationships to build and enhance software solutions. He is poised to excel in software development and contribute positively to his team's success.
